Asmo has had to do a basic reinstall to get us up and running again. This means that some functionality such as the YouTube codes are not working at the moment but should come back over the next few days.

If you find anything that is not working as it used to be please post details here.

We'll get them mods back. I'm not sure what happened, but applying backup files to the reinstall resurrected the server error. If there is time, I'll have a look at the code file-by-file to see if I can find its origin.

Mods and locally stored avatars are down. The mods we can bring back. Sadly little to be done about the avs.

If you see threads you can't access or what have you, tell me - there may be some unresolved pointer discrepancies with the new install.

EDIT: also, emoticon packs. did we have any of those. We did, didn't we... Bloody hell... I'll see what I can do.

Yeah... Time hath taught me to keep a copy of my avatar on every single one of my computers. I'm pretty much finished for the day at work, so going home. Many more screens there - shall try to see if I can restore the avs and emoticons at least.

The mods... Them we'll just reinstall. Better for cross-version compatibility, and besides, there is a major update to the software coming up when it comes out of beta.

No. We had a serious melt down a few years ago. Compared to that this is a minor glitch. The site is paid up till Nov 2022 and I see no reason at this point why it shouldn't go on past that point.

Most such things get caught before resulting in downtime. Our volume of issues is about average, I'd say, but mobilization time for the tech(s) may be on the longer side.

Just reupload them, if it's not too much trouble. Technically, I could pack out a backup and extract the folder, but... So many projects, so short days.

The tricksy SMF is showing that the themes I previously installed are still there (I had checked this earlier), but now that you've brought it up, I checked functionality, and they're clearly not working. I'll uninstall at least vVide and reinstall it, which should get it functioning properly.

Apologies for not replying "in character."  ;)

ETA: OK, done. You should be able to select vVide now, and it should work for you again.

2nd ETA: Also reinstalled the Tapatalk mod.

I am still waiting for the restitution tacos!
