I'm with Silver. There are some impressive shots there. I need to ponder this for a bit.
( I admit that there a couple of them that grabbed me right away).

The theme was my idea, but my entries are dreadfully uninspired this time.
I think you're being modest, Hermes. ;D You always submit excellent photos.
Thank you, but you will see how I am going to embarrass myself when the photos are revealed.
I don't see any entries that in anyway could be considered embarrassing.
I was expecting Hermes done up in body paint (possibly edible), maybe spangles and colourful feathers.
I am a bit disappointed to be honest.
Maybe he coloured in the lion with his orange crayon, who ever did has crossed the lines.
Oh ye, colouring across the lines, that's definitely not art.
Maybe he drank all those empty bottles.
Ye that'd be a bit embarrassing, he probably did.

Ha, ha. I didn't mean embarrass myself in that sense, so sorry to disappoint you (I am no oil painting)! I meant the quality of my shots. The ones I have in the sense you understood are only available on the Dark Web.
Thank you so much Recusant. I am very happy with the response to the theme: there are some intriguing photos. Can't wait to hear where and how they were taken.
Another nice collection.

After a remarkable reign of consecutive victories, hermes2015 has been toppled from his throne by xSilverPhinx's photograph (#18) of what looks somewhat like a Citroën Traction Avant* turned into a planter or parade float. Congratulations!
Honorable mention to Lark and hermes 2015, who gave xSilverPhinx a run for her money, and many thanks to all who contributed such fine photos for this edition of the photo challenge. :daddance:
*I'm pretty sure it isn't, since the Traction Avant always had a one piece windscreen as far as I know, but it has similar lines.
Congratulations xSilverPhinx! Please tell us more about your photo.
Well done xSPx!!!
Thank you!

Congratulations xSilverPhinx! Please tell us more about your photo.
It was taken in one of the casino malls in Las Vegas, when I went there a few years back. Unfortunately I don't remember which one exactly because I must have visited all of them.
Congratulations, xSilverPhinx. Remember the dream you had? Plants everywhere inside a building. :snicker:

That's a really good one xSilverPhinx. Really, really good. The two I submitted were of a truck I thought looked cool and a girl I work with let me (try) to take a photo of one of her eyes. She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. I failed miserably, of course! The photos I got really don't do her justice.

All the photos are excellent. :smilenod: I like the idea of 'nature's art', and along with spider webs and beehives eyes are definitely great natural art (my favourite are heterochromatic eyes, or eyes with more than one colour.)

Her eyes change color with her mood. Typically they are a stormy grey but when angered they turn an icy blue. If they ever turn red I'm going to run for it...
I hope Recusant will reveal the secrets of his number 14.

Picky, pickey.........Hermes, those parts of your concrete structure appear to be "plugs" not moulds. The plug is the male part of the routine and the mould is the female part in which the concrete or other media is poured or packed. In any case the sculptoring is rather impressively done and has a bit of a mathematical overtone.

The two parts are in fact hollow; the depth is probably ambiguous in the photo (which was actually my intention for the purposes of the challenge). The concrete was poured into the the two halves and then the two roughly heart-shaped pieces were joined to form the sculpture. The middle section, held down by the washers and bolts that are visible, is raised, causing a hole through the middle of the sculpture. So I think that, by your definition, it can probably be called a mould. The piece is very mathematical in origin, because I started with a torus that I deformed and then sliced into layers.
I will post photos of the finished piece another time.
