Any tips on recognizing parody as opposed to honest-to-Yaweh, forthright religious conviction?
The only way I've found is to be thoroughly knowledgeable with the different religions, denominations, sects and groups, as well as their teachings, beliefs and superstitions.
Or just assume that everything's a joke until you figure out otherwise.
