Thanks Recusant.
My apologies to the member whose entry I neglected to include. That was inexcusable.
Since the poll was already set up to allow those who vote to change their vote, I hope that those who would like to vote for what is now photo #12 but have already voted will change their votes.
Again, I regret my oversight, and I'm very sorry for failing to remember to include this excellent image.
I'm going to want to know where all these places are once the voting is done.

Yes, me too. :smilenod:
Only a few more days left in which to vote. :)
Congratulations to MariaEvri for winning this iteration of the HAF Photo Challenge with a beautiful photo of an old stone bridge. It is truly a worthy image; fine composition and a great subject.
We had a very nice field of entries to choose from, and I thank all those who contributed their work.
I want to apologize again to Gloucester for forgetting to include his photo in the initial posting of the poll. :headshake:
There were requests to give the locations/names of the subjects in this photo challenge. I'll post mine here, and hope that others will do the same. Of course, there's no need to repost the images as I've done below, but it would be great if you could at least tell us a little bit about the subjects of the photos.
My photo #4:

This is the menhir of Tremblais (http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=8766), located in the department of Côtes d'Armor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%B4tes-d%27Armor) in Brittany. According to local mythology, it blocks one of the gateways to Hell. Perhaps a rather tenuous connection to the theme of this photo challenge, but I couldn't resist including an image of such a fine menhir.
Photo #11:

An entrance to a WWII artillery bunker on a cliff at Creach Meur, Plougonvelin, in Finistère again.
MariaEvri, you have the honor of choosing the theme for the next competition. If you'd rather not deal with the mechanics of posting the initial thread and collecting images as well as posting the poll thread, I am willing to handle that for you. I don't want to volunteer somebody else, but I think it's likely that Tank would be up for it as well. If you choose that route, just announce the new theme in this thread and then PM me (or Tank, if he says he's willing) regarding the parameters you'd like to set for the next challenge: The number of entries per person, time allowed for submitting entries, and time allowed for voting.

You can send it or post it here if you like whichever you want. My advice would be make the subject available to anybody with an mobile phone level camera and as open as possible.
Congrats, MariaEvri!

Mine is Gloucester's Cross, taken from Northgate looking into Southgate with, you guessed it, Westgate right and Eastergate left.
Farmer's Market in full swing, there is a busker sawing his fiddle on the right (I am glad Gloucester is tolerant of street music, some is great and it keeps the street preachers away!), free samples from one of the market stalls (specialty sausages in this case - the Dragon ones cook themselves I think, phwaw! :) ) are on offer, a couple of friends seem to have met, others are striding on - just the usual stuff.
Corner of South and Eastgates is St Michael's Tower, all that is left of the church and now HQ for the CivicTrust. Tea, coffee, home made cakes, advice, info, leaflets, videos, books, tours on offer.
Later: just noticed lady in black & white trousers seems to have four arms!
Well done Maria!
They're all very nice!
Congratulations, MariaEvri :cheerleader:

has this been done before?

I don't think it's been done before. Sounds good to me do you want to go for that?
Congratulations, MariaEvri!

The Pont du Gard (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pont_du_Gard). There are actually three levels of arches, but this photo was taken on the second level, where it is possible to walk across.
