Hi, I am a Christian Evangelist from the Capital City Christian Church of Jefferson City, Missouri.
I am here to change your opinions of life and make you join my church!
Welcome. So long as you're able to be honest with us and yourself (and show everyone respect), I'm sure we'll get along just fine.
If you're going to make arguments or start discussions, remember to do a search first. You're not the first theist to join us, and previous discussions may be able to address some of the things you'd like to say. Creationism, for example, is something we've discussed ad nauseum.

We shall respect Creationism, because our lord and savior chose to create everything!

I'm curious, is there a reason Creationism is capitalized, but not lord or savior?
Welcome.
As long as you are able to present facts and scientific evidence for whatever it is you want me to believe in, I promise to take a look at it.
Simply spewing the verses from some old book of highly questionable credibility, however, will get you no-where.
Basically, what I'm saying is: do your research, don't preach, don't make circular statements and you might actually catch someone's interest here.
EDIT: Oh, and don't answer questions with questions or avoid answering direct questions simply because you don't know the answers or don't like them. Too many theists tend to do that.

Please capitalize 'Lord and Savior', when you are discussing him.
Haha, sorry. I dont think many will vouch for that. I'll capitalize 'Penis' and 'Vagina' before I will 'lord' or 'savior.'
I just can't take posts like this seriously..

Why don't
you capitalize "him" then? Sinner! To Hell with you!
Hey Spirit, welcome to the forum. Good luck trying to get anyone here to join your church...you'll need it.
Be careful around here, you may learn something; and if you learn something, you may be assimilated.

I don't because I don't life in fear of hell due to grammar. You don't have that freedom. You said:
QuoteWe shall respect Creationism, because our lord and savior chose to create everything!
Which makes you a massive hypocrite.

Which reminds me: I've made this stamp for use on forums some time ago. Feel free to borrow if you guys (and girls) like :-D

THAT'S AWESOME. I'm totally going to use that.

Thanks, but no thanks. My opinions of life are not molded by stone age beliefs. And as far as "making" me join your church...
Quote from: "Smallville"And as far as "making" me join your church...
I'm actually inclined to accept the invitation. Spiritlover might be surprised to know that it's very easy for me to nurse doubts already in theists when in person. I'd walk in one atheist and likely leave with several more.

I can see your point. When talking with other folk in an academic setting (or just bull sessions) it is possible to bring people to awareness. However, the uber-conservative area where I'm from, an atheist speaking out in church is still liable to be tarred and feathered. Many people I know as well-educated and/or intelligent turn a stone-deaf ear to anything contrary to their faith no matter how well presented.

I'd
love to see that in action.
