Title: Not So Mysterious Levitation of Vehicles in China
Post by: Recusant on November 29, 2015, 05:01:32 PM
There's Chinese traffic camera video circulating on the 'net which appears to show some vehicles mysteriously levitating.

A lot of uninformed speculation about "unknown forces" has also been circulating, as can be seen in the title of the video.

Turns out the explanation is rather mundane. It's nothing more than a steel cable that was laying on the ground and was caught up by a street sweeper. A Chinese news report (http://v.ifeng.com/vblog/dv/201511/04a0e0cf-6527-443c-802e-6dafe3a55e27.shtml) (autoplay video) has clear images of the cable laying on the ground (see time-stamp 0:50) and wound around the circular "broom" of the street sweeper (see time-stamp 1:34).

A failed abduction attempt caught on camera! Space pirates looking to steal white vans for parts, surely. That wire was just placed there by government officials to make us believe that aliens weren't involved and since you can't prove that they didn't, therefore it's true!

Skeptics, I'm not listening!  :la la la la:

If they come for my white van there will be shooting and hijacking of spacecraft. I just spent a painful chunk of cash fixing that fu**ing thing!  ;D
