Title: 53 things that mildy amuse Brits...

I was an adventurous child, I used to dunk biscuits in my hot chocolate. I would often have to fish out the soggy semi-disintegrated chunks with a spoon. Good thing I outgrew that and I agree, biscuits should never be dunked, in anything!

...anything other than melted chocolate ice cream, that is. (https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.conceptart.org%2Fforums%2Fimages%2Fca_smilies%2Fmembermade%2Fyum.gif&hash=da957e7cede33a31e5bd23c51af142330e0c7e85)

This dunking of biscuits seems to be a contentious issue, at least according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunking_(biscuit)).

Historically in British high society, dunking was frowned upon and generally seen as children's or working class' fashion. Opinion has changed over the years but continues to divide opinion, with one tea room outlawing dunking on its premises while the Michelin starred English restaurateur Heston Blumenthal publicly advocates the act.

I wonder do we have any Brits here at HAF who do dunk their biscuits?

If so would they dare admit such feckless behavior?

I would never immerse biscuits in any liquid, nor would I use the vulgar American verb to dunk.  ;D

But have you ever tried immersing, dipping or submerging a doughnut before? :P

I have been tempted, almost compelled, once when I found out after first bite that a doughnut was dry but have never been that adventurous.

The only thing I've ever dunked are Oreos, and only in milk.  It's really the only way to eat them, other than deconstructing them and I just don't go in for that.
