Hey gang,
Hope you don't mind a bit of brag, but I recently voiced some spots for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods - here's a YouTube of one:

NICE! Love the timber of your voice... have you done a lot of voice work because your voice sounds so familiar?

It's possible. I did some spots for Friendly's, Cheeto's and Little Caesars.
I get a lot of character work, so you may not know it's me.
Today I'm voicing a video game character, and I've got a bunch of games in the works for release later this year...
Timbre!

Hey joe --- you're not that Rastafarian/Jamaican-Patois speaking dude in GTA, are you?
It's entirely possible I've heard you before... very cool! We do a lot of video games around here. Have you done any animated work?
BTW, is that you in your avatar? Have you done anything we may have SEEN you in?
Nice job, Joe. Perfect, in fact. How many takes? :D
Thanks all!
SteveS Sorry, but that one's not me - 'bout half-way thru learning my Rasta (need mah dreads, mon!)
rlrose328 I did a few voices for "Bleach" on Cartoon Network coming up later this year. And, yeah, that's me in the avatar - http://www.JoeActor.com (http://www.joeactor.com) has more info and demos.
McQ ... still working on my Ozzy dialects too. We did 2 half-hour sessions total. The second one was because there were some copy changes. Multiple spots, maybe 20+ takes total.
Video Game Ahoy!,
JoeActor
I have to say - being a voice actor would be such a cool job. Any other Cartoon Network gigs?
You're the man, Sir Bragalot

Thanks large!
I'm working on getting more for CN - big Adult Swim fan, myself.
Got a pilot cartoon in the works for NBC.
Like the video games, it's covered by a non-disclosure agreement, so my lips are zipped.
... and it's a really cool job!
(just gotta find enough work to fill the coffers),

You're like a really cool version of a secret agent. You even look like one in your mug shot!

... Now if I can only be like that in real life!
Usually I'm more geeky/goofy than cool...
Seriously beautiful speaking voice you have there, Joe. In the past I've gone to your website and heard the diversity of your repertoire. Your accents and character voices are just as fine as your "basic" voice.
You've got a great resume that obviously derives from a lot of hard work. Best of luck with all that's coming up. You deserve it.
Suweeet! Very nice voice work!
Thanks Reasoner and Kylyssa!
It certainly is nice to be on the verge of "overnight success" after only 30 years ;-)
Hope you're all having a great, relaxing Sunday - Cheers,
JoeActor
Is that a hotel? And if it is, does that mean you now have lifetime comps?
Also, do you walk around all day saying: 'Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, in a Steven Spielberg production...DEATH ROBOTS FROM OUTER SPACE!' ;)

Hee hee -funny guy!
It's a hotel, casino, spa, etc. I was well paid, but no comps for me.

I've always wanted to visit a spa, but I guess I'm afraid I'd come out gay or something--not that there is anything wrong with that.
Smooth voice, Joe!
Steve: Ah, go on... Spa's aren't that bad. My wife is addicted to them, and I'm kinda "meh". Try a foot/hand reflexology. Not bad for starters...
MommaSquid: Thanks! My voice is why I'm married (no, really!).
Back to the mike,

I believe it! How could your wife resist that smooth voice whispering sweet nothings in her ear?
