A nearby thread is all about the US torture travesty. Contrast that thread content with this threads content. My country was disgraced by the use of "EIT" for several years. The sum total of victims of our barbaric treatment does not reach the number of senseless terrorist killings in the month of November of this year. That does not excuse our transgressions in the slightest but it should give us a more finely tuned sense of perspective.
What's the fix for it? Sadly I can't think of anything that will stop the hate. Certainly military operations can't eliminate it. It seems like for every 1 you kill, 2 more sprout up.
Muslim nations need to do a much better job of policing themselves.
