Title: Help Support This Atheist Mom!
Post by: Kylyssa on April 04, 2008, 01:16:45 AM
There's a really cool woman who writes on Associated Content.  Her name is Lori Godin and she's an atheist and is open about raising her child as an atheist.  She's taken a lot of abuse for "daring" to raise her child as she sees fit.

What I'm asking is that you go to her article about raising an atheist child and give it some positive votes to offset the bashing and down voting it's getting.  Please give it some thought.

Raising an Atheist: Why It's Something to Consider for Your Child (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/297739/raising_an_atheist_why_its_something.html)

Great reply tacoma_kyle!
Thanks to all who give/gave the article a look.

I hate seeing this kind of vote bashing.  I wouldn't dream of down voting an article because I disagreed with its content.  I'm of the impression that the stars are for quality of the piece, how well written it is.  Apparently many on Associated Content (or perhaps just a few who keep removing their cookies) seem to think it's a great idea to bash anything with the words "atheist" or "evolution" associated with it.

Great article.  I gave it 5 stars, which raised its overall rating from 2.2 to 2.3.  Yipee!   :D

Thanks for the link Kylyssa.  Ms. Godin also wrote an article about post-hysterectomy sexual dysfunction that I found fascinating.

Hey Kylyssa - I chimed in too, but my diatribe gets cut off at an arbitrary limit.  I guess I'll have to learn to be more succinct.  That's going to be tough!
