I would cannonball so fast in to that, showering the bystanders below. I think it would be awesome to swim in there!

Cool! I'd probably be the only one in my family to swim in that though.  :D

Is there no end to weird contrivances with which to entertain ourselves?  Always the rationalist, I am wondering about the cost/benefit ratio of that madcap structure.

The tourist in me wants to go there.  :D

The sniper in me wants to see what would happen if you shot a .50 AP round at the glass.  ;D

You would make a hole in it and all the water would leak out.  ;D

Exactly. And then a person with some rubber-based square-shaped material would show up, cover the hole and stop the leak.

I imagine something a little more dramatic :D

Most? There's a possibility for drama there...But yeah, you're right.

Possibility, yes. I, however, go with statistics.

Better than common sense I guess.

Of course! The "common" usually have no sense to speak of, especially in large groups. Statistics, however, are by their very nature sensible.

Hahaha I like that. reminds me of this saying "A lot of people never use their initiative because no-one told them to." can't remember who said it though.

The cost/benefit thing is a matter of economics not merely finding a place to spend money.  If that most unique sky pool increases the hotel revenue by a margin that exceeds its cost, then it was a good investment. Otherwise it is pure show biz, a take off on the mine is bigger than yours concept.

Just about anything, but it wouldn't be so much fun.  I'm with the cannonball idea.
