Pat Robertson blames atheists for Wisconsin shooting (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/06/pat-robertson-says-those-_n_1749532.html)
Quote"...people who are atheists, they hate God, they hate the expression of God, and they are angry at the world, angry with themselves, angry with society and they take it out on innocnent people who are worshipping God..."
These are the kind of things which make it hard to remain a "happy" atheist. I know he says all kinds of horrible things, but this really pissed me off. Talk about exploiting a horrible situation for selfish purposes.
Ohhh, fuck off! (him, not you)
It's his standard song and dance. The funniest thing about him and those like him is they honestly have no clue why so many people have a poor opinion of Xtianity.
I don't get why any atheist would have an issue with Sikhism. If I remember correctly, one of their main prohibitions is against blind spirituality. That, with their emphasis on equality, makes it one of the better religions out there.
Whoever did it probably just confused the temple with a mosque, and those innocent Sikhs with Islamic fundamentalists. Blame poor education and the fear-mongering media. But no, Pat Roberson uses this tragedy to demonstrate his poor education and to spread more fear. Well done ...
If I had to be involved in a deity based religion I'd like to be a Sikh. It's inclusive and walks-the-walk as far as charity goes.
Hmm... Their principles are admirable; whiter than white - just like all the other religions. But they have their extremists just like all the others. Check out who assassinated Indira Ghandi, just for example, or what happened at the Golden Temple in Amritsar in 1984.

Because they are praying to false gods, its heresy and they deserve to be put to death for it. It's against the 12 commandments you know. Oh, hang on, we don't have any commandments do we.
Anyway it is written into our scripture, hang on...
Damn, I am just feeling so angry with god right now, where's our bloody atheist scriptures. Damn him. I'm also pissed off with the tooth fairy and big foot, damn them all. Damn, damn, damn.
OK, I'm good now, back to being happy. ;D

I think you're being unfair to the tooth fairy. Growing up, I bought several packs of baseball cards with my tooth fairy money.
Oh boy, being a scape goat sure is fun. ::)
This guy was a well known white supremicist. Betcha $20 he was a Protestant (it seems like most of our KKK Nazi White Power assholes are the "God, Guns, and Country" types, with "God" being specifically the Protestant God.)
If I were more naive I would shrug it off and think, "people don't listen to this kind of diatribe, they're smarter than that, and have the minimum set of critical thinking skills".
I bet he thinks Jews are the secret evil leaders of the world and that Obama is there puppet. I just watched the other videos at the bottom of the article the man is crazy.
Quote from: Pat Robertson"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
Hahahaha that is all kinds of stupid.

:D I'm now fairly certain that he's actually a POE, and that we've been fooled all this time.

Leave my husband? Nah, he's nice to me. I like him.
Kill my child? No! I had total control over my reproductive health, so he is very much wanted! (plus he's super cut and cuddly)
Practice witchcraft? Geez, I just got free of all of the crazy, superstitious, mumbo-jumbo that comes with Christianity, why would I want to pick it up again?
Destroy captialism? Nah, probably not. Maybe restrict some of it a little.
Become a lesbian? If I was in the right mood, maybe. ;)
I didn't think it was possible, but, he is finding a different way to embarrass Christianity. He is off script doesn't he know that he's supposed to blame homosexuals. Is it possible that God is coming to terms with homosexuality. I can hardly wait to see what Bachmann and company to say on the subject.
