Hello from the Middle East ;)
I was looking for interesting discussions on a decent site so i hope i won't be disappointed. Religious views, dunno, i didn't label it as i really didn't care what it is called other than i don't believe in any deity and if it exists i still don't care because it doesn't care anyway. So i guess it's a kind of indifference, rather than atheism.
QuoteApatheism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apatheism)(a portmanteau of apathy and theism/atheism), also known as pragmatic atheism or (critically) as practical atheism, is acting with apathy, disregard, or lack of interest towards belief or disbelief in a deity.
Hello, you could use the apatheist label but then again why bother?
Greetings :)
Well at least i learned a new word ;D thank you

That's the very definition of atheism. Welcome to a new label. Use it or not, its your choice.
Greetings, Waitin4Godot! Yes, this is a very decent site to have interesting discussions on. Enjoy yourself.
Thank you all ! looking forward to reading/discussing interesting stuff! i tried to browse other sites but many insults/meaningless attacks between users put me off. I enjoy it here!

We run a tight ship here (members and staff), robust discussion is desirable, behaving like an arsehole is not. You look like you're going to fit in very well. Could I ask which country in the Middle East you are in? Mainly curious because we don't have many members in that area and it's nice to get an insight from on the spot as well as through the media. Asmo and G85 are in Norway and have been very interesting in their local insights into the Anders Bravik massacre.
Am from Lebanon..

I don't think we have any other members there. But I have come across a handful of Lebanese atheists over the years. Are you Lebanese or just living there?
Welcome, I once knew someone who was Lebanese, went to the same school.
I am Lebanese

I can't wait to read your input on Middle Eastern topics, and all others of course!
I see on the TV that you have some disturbances right now between pro- and anti-Assad groups. Have I got that right? Are you affected by it?
Welcome to the forum. I think you'll fit in nicely here. :)
I read waiting for Godot a couple of years ago, though I've never seen it performed. I like some silly pointless-ness.
Welcome :)

Welcome :)
I've seen two productions. It is a profound But darkly humorous piece about the pointlessness of human existence and the fantasies we engage in to fend off the realisation of our solitude in a universe devoid of meaning. The play itself is very far from being a piece of silly pointlessness.
Welcome to the forum. What is godot? Maybe I have something to add to my things to read list now.
OOOh, Waiting for Godot! Haha, when I first saw your name, I read it as waiting for god, ot (which I took to mean "Old Testament.") I was expecting something a little different from the user name. :D Welcome!

yea the country is divided..we're trying hard to avoid the sectarian conflicts as per Syrian regime's wish i guess...it's a daily struggle until "something" happens...so i guess it is really "waiting for godot"
