I remember the pre-remote days, they sucked. RIP to the couch potato's hero.

I've invented a remote using a different technology, in many ways it is better than conventional ones.  I addressed the control of multi devices with one remote long before Logitech.  The common infrared remote has its limitations and to be honest so does my carbon fibre solution, still you don't have to replace batteries in a stick.

Sorry behind schedule, can't talk.
Busy fitting stealth fork attachment for stealing morsels from neighbouring restaurant tables.

There used to be ultrasound TV remote controls that simply looped around the channels, ok up to about 10 channels at most. If you lost the remote control jangling a bunch of keys worked as well  ;D
