Title: Randling
Post by: The Magic Pudding on May 19, 2012, 09:31:26 AM
Randling is a word based game show. (http://www.abc.net.au/tv/randling/?WT.srch=1&WT.mc_id=Corp_TV-Randling%7CRandling_AdWords_:abc%20randling_e_g_18614775319___1t1&gclid=CITVrKD2i7ACFUyHpAodZQg5pg) from which I'm going to unashamedly steal some stuff.

Slang for Crystal Meth or a 60s dance craze?

1) Yammer Bammer
2) Dipsy Doodle
3) Schlep Rock
4) Snacky Poo
5) Scrogg
6) Tweedle Doo

Correct Term for defrocking a nun

Dewimple
Dishabit
Unnun

Real or made up chemicals?

Moronic Acid
Bumstop
Fartox
Cummingtonite
Bastardane
Scrotium
Arsole

I will also go for 'dishabit' for the defrocking.  I thought 'cummingtonite' for a mineral, but then I twigged it!  But moronic acid could well be real.  As for all this drugs vs. dancing stuff, I couldn't pretend to have any idea.  I do remember the Charleston, though.

Gosh, I would have said those were all slang for 60s dances (unless our meth addicts have become unnecessarily precious), that one dewimpled a nun (I was confused about the meaning of defrock -- whether it was undressing a nun or kicking her out of the nunnery) and I certainly hoped those chemical names were all made up.

Nothing worse than an unrepentantly cutsie basehead.

This reminds me a bit of the game Balderdash - you're given a word, usually obscure, and have to come up with a definition for it.  You win if you get it right or the other player's pick your definition (best played with a small group of people).  According to my friend Dave, gyromancy is the dark art of summoning seasoned lamb and tzatziki from the reaches of the netherworld.

I don't think any of those terms are the real term for defrocking a nun.  Maybe defrocking a nun is just called defrocking a nun...?
