Title: Stupid design !
Post by: Girl Dancing In Orbit on December 28, 2007, 01:31:56 AM
I don't know if this was posted here before... But anyways, if you haven't seen it you have to. It's a clip from Beyond Belief 2006, astrophysicist Neil D. Tyson makes a very funny satire of ID.

If you have the chance, the whole Beyond Belief series of conferences are very interesting.

I've seen that video before and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  That video was actually what made me give up my belief in god.  It really made me think how stupid intellegent design was.

I enjoyed that too.

Here are a few more you may enjoy:

AronRa's series on the Foundational Falsehood of Creationism (http://youtube.com/watch?v=KnJX68ELbAY).

I also enjoyed the Nova (PBS) series Judgement Day: Intelligent Design on Trial (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/program.html). It's a 12 part series (1 hour total) covering the Kitzmiller v. Dover School Board.

I find it refreshing that an evangelical judge, appointed by President Bush, no less, still managed to do the right thing, and was able to see through the bullshit that Behe and his ilk presented as "evidence".

If you have the time, I highly recommend watching it.
