I missed HAF too. It is great to see all of you here. Honestly, i wondered how many of the people from 2013 would be still around.

A few are still here and some new ones too!
I am neither lovely, nor people. I do not care to be addressed as such.
Did you bring the tacos?

I would have had I known that I would meet No one, in particular. ;)
Hello!
If you get tacos and see no one, you get to eat them all by yourself! :D

Life's been good. How have you been doing, the pandemic and all. I read that during the initial phase England was hit quite hard.
Hello Niya, I don't think we have had the pleasure before. I'm not the most prolific poster here, but I like to keep an eye on what's going on. Hope to see you round a bit more.
You have been truly missed, you are an important person. Welcome back.
Hi Niya,
I'm not sure if we ever interacted here at HAF, though I have to say your name seems familiar.
I was first known here as simply Bruno, then I was ordained as Father Bruno, but then later defrocked for having an affair with Sister Agatha (Long Story, sigh...) so then I became Papasito Bruno cuz' Mags thinks I'm cute. 8)
Anyway, welcome back.

We didn't interact as much, though I remember you joining with your former avatar Bruno. :)
Hello, Niya, glad to see that you are safe and doing well.
Niya, you have a birthday celebration coming up! Wow! Time flies!
What have you been up to, during Covid?

I have just been busy with my family, doing online work etc. Lockdown has been a surreal experience. Growing up I had always imagined about a world-wide plague would look like; I didn't think I'd ever see one.
I may grow old, but I'll never grow up.
How is Pakistan?

I'm just glad we've made it this far. :(

How is Pakistan?
Mostly Chaotic, but not complaining. It is what it is. Inflation and (unfair) taxation has gotten quite high.
The geopolitics of the region is always tumultuous. India, China, Afghanistan, all effect what happens here and vice versa.

Oh, you're in Pakistan? I have never been there, but have visited Dhaka, Bangladesh, to visit my partner's family. There are thousands of Pakistanis here, mainly concentrated in an area called Fordsburg in Johannesburg.

Yes, the people are nice on the whole, but I don't know how warmly they will welcome anyone from Pakistan!

That's understandable! Pakistan treated them horribly back in the 50s and 60s.
That being said, I doubt anyone from the last two generations has any fresh grievances. Young people should be more open. If we all dwelled on how our former oppressors treated us, no one would have friendly relationships...ahem, (looking at imperial Britian) :P

Oh but it's the fashion these days, it's so chic to be of the oppressed.
I'll say sorry for our
success cruelty on the sub continent but only if the Scandinavians apologise to us first, and Italy too, and European interlopers in general. We would have been a kind and gentle people if it wasn't for them.
