Quote from: "Kylyssa"I'm still recovering from nerve damage to my dominant hand.  But I guess I'm finally willing to put up a little of my art with my new limitations.  Since I've lost a great deal of fine control, I've gone to picking out light and shadow rather than line and contour - if that makes any sense.

Rich Sleeping
Chalk, charcoal, and graphite pencil.

How Light Attaches to a Girl in Darkness
Colored chalk and charcoal on dark paper.

I know, representative art is sooo last century but I'm not an artist, I'm just a writer.

You did this WITH nerve damage? Wow! Kylissa, these are wonderful. Really. Thanks for posting them. I'm so 20th century myself, so I love them!

This is a work in progress that I started in early 2009.  The companies are the top 50 Fortune 500 companies from the 2008 list, ordered L->R, T->B. So if I decide to update it they will be adjusted accordingly (Lehman Brothers lol).  Also, this was still in progress because although I had just finished placing all the logos, I wanted to do apply some kind of filter or effect to give it less of a vector graphic feel.  Any input is welcome.

I do a lot of photo manipulations and this is one of my favorites as it allowed me to express many of the issues I have with religion and the Right wing, rather than focusing
on a single idea.  Here is the original: http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w107 ... atornd.jpg

Thank you  =)  Please feel free to download it and pass it around.  I think it's a message that needs to be heard.

Cheers!

I thought that some people might like to see my rendering of Bertrand Russell's teapot....  :)

Cool!

A video I did last weekend (of an art project).

[youtube:36a0a59v]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26djL6xYyCM[/youtube:36a0a59v]

Time Lapse film of sculpting with Cheetos, plus stop motion animation of the cheesy snack food. When I was in school, back in the 80's, I could make armies of "Cheeto People" that would maintain their sculpted poses for weeks with just an Exacto knife and a bag of the "crunchy" variety. Now, there's something different about the crunchy recipe, the cheetos don't hold together. As you can see in the time lapse, I even tried using wire for support and after about 2 hours, got a dinosaur that only stood up for a few seconds. That's why I switched to the stop motion, on a flat surface.

cool, I would have never thought to make stuff out of cheetoes; I think I might end up eating them all if I tried.

Here's my latest stuff; I'm trying my luck at selling craft stuff on Etsy:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/ArchGrafix

KD, I think your stuff is plenty impressive.  I love the quilting!

KD, I'll echo Pinkocommie's post. I also think your bead work is impressive. As for quilting, I find it amazing that you and other quilters can do those things. I live in an area famous for super-quilting. You all are pretty spectacular with those big jobs.

A few of my better things are here:

I'm uploading a few pics for another entry on an embroidery project.  That one should be up later today.

Most of the rest are on my site but it's such a discombobulated mess right now it's hard to find anything:
