I just finished watching Stillwater. As usual, Matt Damon gives an excellent performance.

Does a considerable proportion of English people still disapprove of Hugh Grant?
I think some thought him too foppish, back, back in the day, hmm ye, understandable, maybe.  Still, I love About a Boy, Four Weddings and Notting Hill were fun, I'd like some more of those.

Me too. Four Weddings was especially fun. Rewatching that movie is like curling up in a warm, fuzzy blanket. But (and?) I say this despite having an inexplicable dislike of Hugh Grant.

He was an excellent bastard in the Bridgets.

He really was. I enjoyed his performance for once.

Ye, he was, and Colin Firth is at least as foppish and no one takes him to task.

Yeah, but Colin Firth is just more likeable for some reason; he's sexier in any event. He made an excellent Darcy in the BBC P&Prejudice. Hugh Grant always plays characters that come across as kind of neutered. For some reason they're a little more bearable in his later movies, though. I think HG's wrinkles are giving him some pseudo-depth.

26:59 into the second episode of Better Call Saul.
It was hard to like any of the Breaking Bad characters, I sort of liked Saul.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Loved Breaking Bad and can't wait for season 6 of Better Call Saul. The writing is so good.

The Wheel of Time, not sure, Loial should be much taller though.
The Dune movie, it's OK, probably need to watch it again, didn't know it was a series of movies.
Dexter?  It's just more Dexter.
Was Doctor Who always so complicated?

Get Back, that is extraordinary, something like 3 x 150 minutes of HIGH quality video of the Beatles and their creative process.

Take my advice, don't listen to me.

I'm watching ,,The Sparks Brothers", a very interesting documentary about the pop group Sparks.

Don't Look Up.

Highly recommended!

my wife sat me down in front of that. we dont have any television connection to the outside world except for netflix stuff, and i very seldom can sit down long enough to finish anything they want me to watch with them anyway

this was no exception. i was absolutely infuriated by the story line, because it is so not-unlikely. i couldn't watch more than half of t and had to get up and go do something else.

i cannot take stuff like that in the black humour style in which it is intended. everything is too real to me.

You're 100% correct. It's terrifying to think it looks like a parody but it really isn't!

Really enjoyed Don't Look Up, despite so much of it being a little too close to reality.

If you're looking for a good, really unique horror move, Censor was amazing.

I think the beauty of the film lies in the fact that so much of the abhorrent behaviour IS totally believable. It has been said that many a true word is spoken in jest and this film really does this.

Just finished watching Yellowstone - all 4 seasons. All I can say is, if I ever meet Beth Dutton (a main character) on the street, I'm running the opposite direction. Badest bitch to ever grace a TV screen. Pardon my French, but if you watch it, you'll understand. Plus, the scenery is beautiful. Basically, it is the Godfather on steroids, but in Montana.

This movie is gonna be like Deja Vu.
