There is really nothing to say other than to visit it when you want an easy read for laughs.
Hopefully this site has never been posted before. I can't remember how I discovered it, but have had it bookmarked for a while and read it every so often.
Well, that seals it for me. I'm a believer now. I mean they have pictures and everything!
I did get a good laugh, and I groaned quite a bit.

Did you actually find the link to enter the site? It took me a while, seeing as it's so poorly designed.

Yep, I clicked on the thing that said, "Click Here to Enter". Also clicked on the photo of the parting of the Red Sea. Both took me in to different parts of the site. Read all about Noah's Ark and hot a great laugh from that one!
For laughs or to cry?
(I like your second sig, btw 8) )

Just wanted to make sure since there is funny on the homepage alone.

Haha, I suppose that would depend on the individual reading it. Thank you for the compliment, it's one of my favorite quotes, though I'm not sure where it originated from. There is a bit of controversy about that.
QuoteMore and more "fresh" fossils are being found - with blood still inside.
Maybe a T-Rex is waiting in the woods behind my house to gobble me up!
Do you think the people who put this together really think this is evidence, or are they just trying to present information they know is false to convince others.
There is only one thing to do now... (facepalm).
This is all fairly accurate and true. Especially the idea that Pre-Flood Earth saw an abundance of giant hairy beavers. I saw some of my great-grandfather's porn once in my youth, and I'm pretty sure he was probably about Noah's age. Giant hairy beavers everywhere.

:D I think the Flood happened sometime around 1973 (dated via Playboy!)

:D You got that right. :D
I think we might be on to something here. We saw in another thread that Adam and Eve were created without body hair and kept themselves nicely waxed in the Garden of Eden. Maybe Yahweh hates body hair as much as he hates idolators and heathens, and this is why he sent the Flood, to wash away all those giant hairy beavers that had come to populate the earth!
Maybe the text of Genesis should really read something like;
'The Lord saw that humanity had become thoroughly hairy on the earth and that they never waxed or shaved their body hair. The Lord regretted making human beings on the earth, and he was heartbroken. So the Lord said, "I will wipe off of the land the human race that I've created: from human beings to giant hairy beavers to 1970s porn stars to furry snakes, because I regret I ever made them." But as for Noah, the Lord approved of him, he was the best shaven man of his generation.'
Let us pray to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Gillette...
I can't get past the...
Giant Hairy Beavers
I just can't.
The visual is mindnumbing.
Such is my mind...
That site is very much like drdino.com which used to be run by Kent Hovind but is now run by his son Eric because Kent is doing some time for tax fraud.
Both are a disturbing mix of Young Earth Creationism, Pseudoscience and Conspiracy Theory.
I can't even laugh at these anymore. It's like mocking mentally retarded schizophrenics.

It's hard to imagine that anyone that stupid could exist. I'm going to have to assume that this sight is either parody or an outrageous intentional lie.

Statichaos, I do like you and generally enjoy your posts here, but as a favour, would you please not refer to schizophrenics as being mentally retarded? Thank you.
The Shroud of Turin is compelling. The main argument against its authenticity is its age, according to radioactive dating. But my understanding of such a dating method is that results are unreliable. It's also interesting that nothing like this Shroud is known to exist. It is unique.
So now the burning question is: How tall was Jesus? The Shroud can tell us!

Your natural fibres shrink though, I know this because I've bought clothes loose, non restricting, with room to move, the way I like. But a few years later they're tight.
Anyway you say "The" Shroud of Turin, which suggest a claim of exclusivity to me.
I've just measured MY Shroud of Turin and Jesus is about 4' 6"
Allowing for shrinkage I reckon he'd of been a nine footer at least.

The main argument against its authenticity is that wrapping a cloth around a sphere does not produce a flat image. Try it. Paint your face and press it into a cloth. I promise it will look nothing like the shroud.

There are a number of arguments against the authenticity of the "Shroud of Turin." For instance, there is no credible provenance for it previous to its first appearance in the 14th century. It is well documented that in 1389, the Bishop of Troyes wrote a letter to the pope Clement VII in which he described its origin as the work of an artist who'd admitted as much (
source (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13762a.htm)). Your claim that the "Shroud" is "unique" ignores the fact that during the era in which it made its first public appearance, there were a number of such items in circulation. At least four of those (held by Besançon, Cadouin, Champiègne, and Xabregas) were claimed to be "authentic" (
ibid. (http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13762a.htm)). As you can see above, there are other issues as well, but I don't expect you're going to take any more time to actually answer responses to your post than you did in the other thread, so I'm not going to waste any more time on this.
This site is fairly easy-going, but if you continue to post items while neglecting and/or refusing to interact with other members, it will be considered a violation of our rule against preaching. This is an official reminder of the rules of this site (http://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=1522.0), which you should have already read.
