(Not having watched the video yet) If the String Theory is onto something, are there not like ten or eleven dimensions? In the real world?
There is a debate about 10 or 11 dimensions. Sounds to me like The People's Front of Judea vs The Judean People's Front.

There be ten for the strings and such like, one for the Ms and then there be a hidden dimension. That's The Asmo's. For good and valid purposes too, if He sayeth so Him-Divine-Self.
This video is not saying that there are (only) 5 dimensions, rather it's about how to think about an extra dimension and specifically how that dimension may relate to time dilation and gravity.
