Is everyone ready to wrap up 2019? I know I'm ready to leave this dumpster fire of a year behind.
I'm actually going out for New Year's for a change. There is a Roaring 20s themed drag show that is promising to be a good time.
That sounds fun!
Were opening a very special Moet & Chandon 40% alcohol Champaign.
And then pass out!
Happy New Year to you, too! I'll be in bed by 9 PM. :offtobed:
9 PM is known around here as quaker midnight.
not just on new year's eve, either
Happy New Year, everyone!
It's raining like hell outside so I won't be going out to see the fireworks, but that's ok. A (more or less) quiet evening home is a great way to end the decade.
It rains in hell? Or is that sprinkler system still on the fritz?
Happy New Year to all my elegant fellow HAF members.

Not fair!
Eating black eyed peas on NYD is good luck in the south. Goes back to the Civil War when the peas kept them from starving. I just ate some.
back in oklahoma, whenever they served black eyed peas at my elementary school for lunch i just went hungry that day.
BR must be a damn Yankee, Ecurb. As I write this, I have some Black eyed peas cooking and cornbread too. Happy new year day requires that good luck repast.
i am not no damned yankee
but even okies can hate bkackeyed peas
:notsure: Don't remember ever eating black-eyed peas.

;D One of my uncles used to sing a song about black-eyed peas and fried bananas. I've probably heard a tune by the Black Eyed Peas but didn't know it.
