A few movies and actors/actresses I'm betting on.
Best motion picture of the year: DARKEST HOUR
Performance by an actor in a leading role: Gary Oldman in DARKEST HOUR
Performance by an actress in a leading role: Meryl Streep in THE POST (though I think Frances McDormand should get it.)
Achievement in cinematography: DUNKIRK or BLADE RUNNER 2049
Achievement in directing: DUNKIRK
I think that you should be a major player on the Oscar nominating committee Silver.
It had not occurred to me that American movies might capture the attention of Brazilian audiences. Hollywood will be pleased. I would vote for M. Streep no matter what role she plays.

Why not? :) Hollywood exports its movies to most of the world. I like a lot of what Hollywood produces, and am an avid movie-goer. By the way movie theatres fill up it seems a lot of Brazilians are too.
