Title: Few steps back

Perhaps God is just a practical guy. Consider the wider picture, like the HRO scenario.

The HRO scenario seems to be a theory of exogenesis, or a theory that life came from another planet. To be honest, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that abiogenesis happened on another world and that life simply found its way here.

I would be surprised if the scenario described transpired only because there are more likely explanations for religion. Regardless, if the HRO scenario were real, all religions would be the system of control over humans. One could then call this very forum a bastion of freedom.

If you don't mind my asking, wouldn't one who believes in a theory like this not be Christian at all?

This is no joke. Being an atheist does not absolve you from the Free Crown Point problem.

Christianity is merely a tool to filter out those who are susceptible of grabbing the Crown.

If you have a better filter method, I'd like to know about it.

He also does not absolve you from Free Crown Royal. Still got to pay full price for that stuff.  :|

That is a fundamentally flawed hypothesis. The reason being, it is solely based upon the assumption that humanity will want continued power once resources become infinite.

I'm sorry, but the problem you pose is not a problem at all. The quest for power and personal gain will diminish as the abundance of resources and energy climbs.

It's absurd to think that no one will want to be sole Ruler of the Solar System, after developing their enslavement-ready technology. The prospect of a 100,000,000 servants and concubines is enough to entice most men with even the slightest "will to power" over others. E.g. the dictators of North Korea, Iran, Zimbabwe, etc...
