I have put this here because I think museums come under the "communications" header, even more than under "arts".
The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is often a bit misunderstood. Rather than a celebration of a stuffy past age with some bad connotations it is a monument to every aspect of art and design in life, including modern life - a legacy from The Great Exhibition and a lasting monument to Albert's love of inovation and invention.
Their latest venture is videogames, including the art, invention, science, research etc that goes into making them and the influence they have on our lives:
