Here is an example of our insatiable desire to learn the history of those who came before us.  This is also an example of the absurdity of our president's criticism of hispanic intellectual capacities............... Mexicans in fact.

They are beautiful cultural artifacts, which makes one wonder whether the makers intended them to have certain aesthetic qualities apart from their utilitarian function.
