This was very satisfying.

**Ahem**
~I meant no disrespect to the dead.

fascinating. i get news from AP, reuters, and UPI, then look to CNN for left bias, and fox for right bias.

CNN reported this incident with the vocal crowd being "a block away." i didn't know it was so loud at the courthouse steps.

fox news did not mention it at all. i looked repeatedly through their coverage of the event.

to take the biased source, CNN has an agenda, but they make it a point to report things that they disagree with. fox news is very different-- they simply ignore things that don't fit into trump's happy bubble.

this is troubling to me, because fox is the most widely watched news source in america, and people i know regularly defend it as the only source of valid news.

I don't watch Fox News. It has a dumbing down effect. I read CNN and the BBC. I think CNN is thorough although there aren't many headlines that I like to read. Every once in a while. I read the BBC to get an outsider's look at the mess we are in.

It is hard to get any objective news nowadays. Investigative reporting has disappeared almost everywhere. It is all about opinions instead of facts, info nuggets instead of news and click baits. I get my news mainly from the Süddeutsche Zeitung (liberal7conservative), Die Welt (conservative), De Volkskrant (socialist) and De Telegraaf (populist). Occasionally I read CNN and watch Fox News (for fun).

I watched a snippet of the debate yesterday between Biden and Dump but it was overly frustrating because Dump just wouldn't keep his mouth shut while Biden spoke and on top of that interpreters were translating what both were saying in real time so there were at least 4 people speaking at the same time at any given moment!  :banging head:

Ugh, someone put a muzzle on Dump for god's sake!

i watched about 30 minutes and gave up.

im not interested in listening to trump shout at biden. i wanted to hear him answer questions. and hear biden do the same.

they need to turn the microphones off, completely, when its the other guys turn. if they cant figure that out the "debates" will be worthless.

there waz some food for thought tho. trumps directionto that armed right wing group to "stand back and stand by" is now part of their internet logo.

that was a pretty clear call to arms.

There was a funny exchange.

Moderator: Mr. President, you agreed to two minutes where you would remain silent.

Biden: He can't keep his word.

Then Trump speaks up again demonstrating that he can't keep his word while trying to object that he can't.

Or Biden telling Trump that "you wouldn't know a suburb unless you made a wrong turn".

The most significant thing that came out of the debate, IMO, is that Biden stayed coherent (when allowed) all the way through.  He does not come off as a demented old man.

The debate was interesting, funny, and entertaining, but not very informative on Trump's side.

This was Trump's chance to tell the nation about his replacement plan for Obamacare, you know, the ones that he will show us "In two weeks." --For the last 3 1/2 years. But nooooooo!

Trump interrupted, a lot, but he was extremely quiet during The Climate Change and The Environment part of the debate, why? Because all he wants is:
"...immaculate air, immaculate water, and do whatever else we can that's good."
::)

Biden:
"Will You Shut Up, Man?"
You're Putin's puppy and a clown.
--That was funny.  :snicker:

The wife watched most of it. I watched snippets but didn't spend a lot of time on it. There was grilled steak and a nice green salad with cherry tomatoes in it, and I didn't want that useless sack of orange protoplasm's expostulation spoiling my dinner.

Hell, I'm really easy. It would be nice if he didn't wake up at all tomorrow.
