If I described you as an explisive person whould you understand what I meant?
No. I have huge gaps in my education.
Never having heard of the word before, I went and looked it up. I learned a new word today! And if I had more words for context, I might have figured it out in a conversation.
OK, turns out not to be a word. Oh, well.

i would not understand what you meant.
what does "explisive" mean?
It means explicit. At least that was what I was thinking of when I accidently created a new word. In my mind I guess I mixed explicit with expressive to describe someone's comment. Just seems like it should be a real word.
I once saw someone use the word irregardless, but can't remember when or where.

Seems like the way an Aussie would pronounce "explosive".

Yes, I did a double take when I saw it. This will be a good thread to report examples of mutilation of the English language.

Is it the preposition that you question Mags?
I once knew a guy who had some issues with his wife. He was a jackass really. The wife had a delicate stomach and to torture her, but not unlawfully, he would pour beer into...onto.... in ....on.... his morning cereal.
...and the beer I had for breakfast tasted alright, so I had another one for dessert...
That's a line from a "song", and I don't remember the performer's or the band's name, fortunately.

~Wait. Should it be, the "nazi within me" or is, "the nazi in me", fine? :notsure:
I've heard this used in conjunction with "explain", such as , he wasn't very explisive. IOW he didn't explain it/something well. It looks also as it could be used the other way - he was over explisive. I didn't know it wasn't a word. It also seems to be linked to , expletive.

If I heard you say it verbally, I would probably think you were saying I am candid.

That sounds about right according to my personal experience. Every time I think I have thought of something new...nope. I shouldn't be surprised that other people have either used or heard of that non-word before me.

 Yeah, I have pet peeves, too. I worked with nuclear materials (the radioactive ones, before someone picks my nose about all materials having nuclei) ;D for awhile. It's stone simple to pronounce it "new-clear", instead of mispronouncing it "new-kew-ler". Dictionaries are even including the erroneous pronunciation because enough people use it. Lame.
Another word just popped into my head to describe a comment on social media.
Feccid
Apparently not a word. WTF is going on in my brain? In my mind it's pronounced Fekkid. Meaning, repulsive.
Google can't auto correct or figure out what I'm trying to say.

It was Johnny Cash or at least the one I heard was. The line is, "And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert." The name of the song is Sunday Morning Coming Down.

Yeah, that's it! Been a long time since I heard it, I can't imagine how I garbled the lyrics. ;)

My father would only allow us kids to listen to country music. Johnny Cash became one of my favorites. It's funny, I can't remember the lyrics now but I remembered that part and was able to look up the song.
My mom listened to country so that's what was inflicted on us kids. I can listen to some of the old stuff, but very little. My dad despised country, and would only listen to classical music- Bach, Beethoven, etc., not classic rock. :)
My mother never gave her preference. When I lived in Germany we had a radio that was tuned to the only English speaking station within the broadcasting area. They played the pop standards of the time. She seemed to like it along with myself and my brother.
I recorded some music on a cassette recorder I got either for my birthday or Christmas. I'd put the little microphone in front of the radio and pick up the music and the ambient sounds.
