Temperatures are starting to drop at night, but are still high at noon.

Same here. We had a pleasant 13° low last night, with a high of 23° expected today. The humidity is only 28%, so it's going to be a lovely day for a walk with little Lulu.

Temperatures dropped from +18 to -1. Today it is even snowing.

It looks like this April is going to be the coldest on record in the UK for at least 60 years.

Two storms, potential hurricanes, approaching Florida.  If either of these, or the ones following them, are predicted to hit my location, the work begins.  I have to board up all the windows of my house or trust the FSM to spare my poor abode.

It appears that we humans have shit in our own mess kits.  We have managed to alter the atmosphere in such a way that we and our children will be forced to pay dearly.

Ahhh, August, the last month of winter.
It was traditionally the coldest month,
when cold wind came from Nor West
Last few years I've been buying wood
I don't buy enough but it is enough
Winter just peters out a month early
I took my kayak out last week in July
Twice last week dressed in summer kit
See a softball sized round floating thing
Look away, look back, where's that thing?
Keep looking where the thing was....
Turtle...swoon to the extent possible and stay afloat.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;

And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,

Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;

And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;

And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Please assign authorship to that realistic and beautiful poem,Billy.   Is it yours alone?  Yes, I believe that you, in all your strangeness, are more than capable of putting those words together.
