hey all
recently I keep seeing this in people's signatures
(https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi333.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fm394%2FPoseidon_Simons%2FUntitled-2.jpg&hash=2be9ef20cd684776032cb3432579c0a4bf364df2)
is there something wrong with imageshack or something wrong with my browser (firefox)
It looks fine to me...that's from tank's signature and it should be a little purple smilie. I'm using firefox too. Perhaps you need to update your browser or check your computer for malware?
Clear your temp files - might help.
How interesting. It may be that the ISP you are using has caused problems at image shack and they have banned all the users. I'd drop an email to image shack as they are pretty helpful people.
ok I contacted imageshack (no answer yet), scanned for malware (0 found) and also deleted my cookies
nothing yet
ok turns out its not just a problem on this forum...

More important than cookies are temporary internet files. They can sometimes cause you grief.
yeap done that too
didn't work

didn't work :hmm: Be that the case, I think the problem may well be external... Even though it does sound rather INternal...
i have no idea
I even asked in yahoo answers but
no answer yet!
Have you tried a different computer from the same IP?

good point. I'm logged in from my lap top and everything seems to be ok from here. So it must be ny desktop's problem
What OS are you running?
windows xp professional version 2002 service pack 3
Internal then... Which is somewhat weird, since you deleted the temps. They are a somewhat common cause of image failure... Can your computer display that image type at all..? Try opening another image with the same file extention (.gif, was it?)
Can be some file association messup...

all images show fine... as long as they're not hosted on imageshack...
even gifs.
Have you tried resetting your network adapter? Possibly even reinstalling it..?
I'm pretty sure it's a soft problem, but that second measure mentioned should take care of faulty drivers, IPs and connections on your PC's side
Ill give that a try too
It would appear that the issue is a change of policy with imageshack http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopi ... 9&t=189929 (http://sharethefiles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=189929)

Shoulda' waited a day or two with the link. This thing was causing me some irritation and you just missed a chance of seeing me curse IS and software industry in general in so many ways a sailor would be ashamed
