Things are getting interesting over here. There is going to be violence somewhere over this, eventually.
He goes to court on Tuesday I believe? Have you seen what he has called the judge before he is even in the court? He could get 90 days for contempt without even opening his mouth (with luck).
He'll probably never see a jail cell, not even for the classified stuff, sad to say. It's where he belongs, as far as I'm concerned.
we'll see how he behaves in the arraignment, and how his various minions behave around the country. i think that will set the tone for what follows, at least in the short term.
That mug shot! (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-66612433)
Apparently this is an example of the 'Kubrik Stare'.

all of this would be comical if the stakes were not so high

...Which was monetized with impressive immediacy. You can has mugshot mugs, because you can do stuff like take shots out of a mug, but also T-shirts and a whole bunch of other merch. Read in our media that the sales already passed ten mill US.
I must admit, I kinda' want one of them mugs - just for the cheap puns.
The world is closing in on Mr. Trump. He has appeared in court where his usual arrogance and demonstrative facial expressions have not served him well.
He was recentl burdened by a gag order which he promptly violated. The poor man is incapable of keeping his mouth shut. Today a court Judge fined him $10k for ignoring the gag order. More to come I suspect.
Meanwhile his many former acolytes have thrown him under the legal bus, better to save their own asses.
;D
The fall from an elevation of extreme wealth to prison has to be about as far as a person could fall, methinks. IMO, he's had enough wealth to shield him from prosecution. He used to be able to fend off lawsuits just by being wealthy. One can buy "justice" to a point. The Federal well of money is deep. I hope that the US doesn't spend a billion on his prosecution, though it would be worth it, in the long run.

How come no contempt of court?
This is getting fun to watch

incremental, i guess. money is the only currency trump values. if he was cited for contempt and imprisoned he would just sell coffee mugs. making him pay money is possibly the best motivator.
5000, 10000 . . . maybe the next time is 20 000?
Oh yes, that's right! I've been wanting me one of them mug-shots because bad pun. :smilenod:
...Oh, well. :sad sigh:
Interesting enough, the ACLU sides with Trump about the gag order.
QuoteIf we allow his free speech rights to be abridged, we know that other unpopular voices – even ones we agree with – will also be silenced," said Anthony Romero, executive director of the ACLU.
"As much as we disagreed with Donald Trump's policies, everyone is entitled to the same first amendment protection against gag orders that are too broad and too vague."
i dont think the gag order is too broad. trump was identifying court personnell by name and doxxing their addresses. given that some court personnell have recieved death threats, i think telling him not to target them was appropriate.
hes been told he can complain about anything he wants, just not court personnell, and now, witnesses. mark neadows is a potential witness in his trial. trump is already publicly questioning whether or not meadows will be loyal to him.
but it can be taken too far. hes running for office and needs to be able to question his prosecution. but so far i think tbe two judges have parsed the topic nicely
Trump is up to his ass in alligators, 91 of them, and it could not happen to a more deserving person.

Indeed. He's led a crooked life for decades. His comeuppance is due. It's going to be interesting what Princess Sparkle Twat has to say when she's on the witness stand. She's in a tough situation- loyalty to daddy Vs perjury. I suspect that loyalty to daddy is going to fade, given that she could get prison time. Then again, the rich get little time in prison, usually probation. Then again, I'm seeing some rich people getting prison time. #CoinToss
There are more US politicians that deserve more jail time than Trump. International war criminal George W. Bush comes in mind for starting an illegal war and being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands civilians.
