"Go with the stream, and you're at rest." There is a degree of wisdom to that.

Do we exist in an ethical world? No. It doesn't care either way.

Do we exist in chaos? No. We are, all things considered, highly ordered systems surrounded by and living within other highly ordered systems. However, the second law of thermodynamics states the general tendency of ordered systems to move towards disorder unless "topped up" with the energy required to resist the quern of entropy, so "we" shall "die" in chaos.
