I'm looking for an introductory college psychology textbook. Does anyone have any recommendations? It looks like David G. Myers' Psychology is popular by various search rankings and I'll probably get that one in the absence of additional information.

Thanks.

In my 101 class (ages ago) we used Hilgard's Introduction to Psychology. If I remember correctly, it was actually a pretty good text.

Awesome thanks. I hadn't even found that one.

Most intro texts you find listed in University bookstores are gonna be fine for an introduction to psychology.  It's when you get into the more specialized areas you'll want to make sure to get a really decent text.
