From what I've heard it is true many trolls are now being produced in China under contract to established western producers. These producers know better than to risk damage to their product reputation, so quality control has been maintained. Unfortunately this quality control does not extended to the Troll's club, and there have been many reports of dodgy troll clubs failing with heavy use.
