You're right, her voice is haunting. I'm no expert, but to me the recording has a fado-like quality.

I love this version of Sway, by Julie London. She was both a fantastic singer and actress. I had a huge crush on her when I was a young boy as she had a role in the TV series "Emergency".

She passed away late last year.
