Below is my entire post, which you refer to. In bold is the reason why I wrote what I did about you being new. It was to give you the benefit of the doubt on being at a loss (or a disadvantage) on how to respond to members.

What's interesting to me is how, the first time I read your post, I felt like a schoolboy being sternly reprimanded.  Then when you reposted it and I looked at it again last night, I saw it in a completely positive manner.

I'm glad you were able to see it in the spirit it was intended. I should probably change my avatar one of these days so people realize there is an actual human being who isn't a total a-hole behind the posts.

You can say that again, it must have rained almost solidly for about 2 months.

Three months, in fact.  April and June were all-time records for UK rainfall, and we're heading for one in July.  May wasn't quite so bad, but the rainfall for the 3 months April to June was also an all-time record.

So the question is, what do we want the staff of the forum to do about this?

If the staff could please transport some of the rainfall to the Southwestern United States, it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

And Ottawa, I think we've gotten two small showers in three months.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.
