I have a CD in my car and the stores I go to at the mall play rock and post hardcore, mostly. So this year has been good to me in terms of closer-to-christmas-annoyance-ratio.

Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

I'm so happy the Christmas music is over with, I'm sitting in the store singing "Daniel" to the dogs.

They are not impressed.

I could only find the Stargate Atlantis vids. Sounds much better as a proper quality MP3.

The Band.  I've always had a soft soft for them, but never as much as now, especially Levon Helm.  Here's one of a trio of informal videos of Levon talking about and demonstrating his singing and drumming.  This vid focuses on "Life is a Carnival."  I think it's amazing that he captures so much of the song with nothing but his drums and his voice.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adFgQCa4QKs

The Smiths.  I love this one.  The drummer owns it.  He's slapping the band in the face from start to finish.

'Anyone who had a heart' by Cilla Black just popped up on the radio. Took me straight back to the long white boots and panstick white lips of my youth.

Perhaps he is remembering his collarless Beatles jacket and mop top hair.
