Well Happy New Years everyone. Today it starts. By it I mean the retarded Blasphemy Law in Ireland. Though I'm happy to not be from that country (because i'm pretty fond of saying God Damnit!) I feel bad for the citizens of that country who are now being bent over by the religious fundamentalists.
I want this thread to be dedicated to those who are fighting to remove this medieval law. Ideas must be subject to revising and, if necessary, ridicule. This law protects bad ideas from being subjected to a examination because religion is placed on a pedestal which it has neither earned nor deserves. So let's show our support to those who fight in Ireland for this law to be removed by making this thread in HAF as a hub for those who seek to fight this unjust law and provide articles, information, and groups that oppose this law.
I will be editing this post with more websites as they become available.

Yeah - ridiculous...
I saw the discussion on Fark - here's a link to it:

Could an enterprising Irishman not simply declare that obesity is a part of his religion, and any measures or campaigns against the spread of obesity he finds deeply offensive? The law's wording means any religion is shielded from criticism, as opposed to just the Catholics, whom I am guessing this law was made for. If the law is so poorly drafted, I hope it is exploited in some fashion to show how insane blasphemy laws are in any non theocratic society.
I can only write a short message since im on my phone. SSY there is a religion that is primarily about weightloss google "The Church of Thin". I wonder how bad this law will be abused.
