True story. My wife watched 2001: A Space Odyssey the other day. It had an intermission session that was something like 5 minutes, with the word "INTERMISSION" on the screen the whole time. I read the book, and it was 1000 times better than the movie. I remember when my kids were young and wanted to watch it. In spite of my wife warning them ahead of time, and being called "old", in the end they all agreed that it was BORING, after they watched it. I've never personally made it through the movie, having fallen asleep every. single. time.. She saw it in a theater with her parents when it came out, and slept through it!
