Theistic evolutionists, shouldn't God be upset...

For us, we have been on an exponential increase and this seems "unnatural", no?  Maybe we are not yet the "goal product" of evolution and we are foiling God's plan by allowing the weak to live? 

I was under the impression that our exponential increase started with the agricultural revolution, 10,000 years ago. Prior to that time, humans were hunter-gatherers, living in balance with nature. But, once we were able to produce our own food, we started having more offspring, growing more food, having even more offspring, etc.
