Should we talk about the weather?

Bitchin hot here.  Late evenings and nights are pleasant enough in the low 70s (F). Mid afternoon temps are brutal at +/- 96 F. So far we have not had a three digit temp. Some of the southwestern states however, have had as much as 110 F during the day.

I wore a T shirt yesterday and put on sunscreen!  :frolic:

Thank you all for the welcoming back!

England does sound like a nice place for me! But immigration is difficult so that's unlikely to ever happen.

We had a flipping Tornado Warning today. In NEW ENGLAND. WTF, everyone. I've only been here for a week. I knew these things can happen, but they're supposed to be very rare, and for it to happen ONE WEEK after I moved here. I must be cursed. That's it, my skepticism has been lifted. I now believe in curses. (being sarcastic, of course)

Three days of good weather on the trot! What's happening?

Wouldn't be so certain of that.

Yes, that was many decades ago, but there was an F5 tornado in Ohio. Ohio is not safe by any means.

It's always the NE I thought was safe, but looks like I'm a little off the mark. For sure, they're much rarer here. Seems like the Pacific NW is the place to go to get away from tornadoes. But then you have wild fires and earthquakes.

Evidence of nice weather. Reading in my garden corner.

Was gorgeous yesterday with highs in the 70s, mostly overcast and a very cool breeze/wind. It reminded me of fall! I loved it! Today it's back in the 90s. D:

I have been a sailor for most of my life. I never had enough money to have a boat big enough for extensive cruising.  In fact most of the people who take the plunge into the cruising boat world can not actually afford it. It is a passion that escapes common sense.

Here is what happens when the shit hits the fan, or in this case when Hurricane Beryl smashed into the western Carribean. .......................In case any of you have any illusions about the cruising life here is part of the downside.

1940 in the evening, after a long sunny day.

86 F

i think thats 27 C

wonderful. im loving this heat.

my truck has no ordinary air vent. its either on heat or air conditioning. what i did today is what i normally hav e to do, which is to to set the thermostat to 84 F and turn on the heat. anything less than 84 would activate the air conditioner and start blowing cold air.

mechanical advances make a lot of assumptions. all i want is for the fan to blow air at ambiant temperature, but it cannot do that.

This looks positively pleasant!

There be shorts and t-shirt weather over here as well, though spending my days at work, I myself tend to be longer-sleeved. Trousers are pretty much a must when part of the job involves areas of high ant and stinging nettle activity.
