Went to a presentation by Austin Vince last night (no I didn't have a clue who he was either). Turned out to be excellent! You can find out more about him here Mondo Enduro. He spends his spare time riding around the world (twice) on a trail bike.

He is an anti-consumerist in that he won't by a $15,000 BMW like Ewen Mcgregor, he did the rides on a second hand $1,000 350cc trail bike.

He is a great speaker if you ever get the chance to see him talk take it, he's very funny as he tells the stories of his experiences.
