"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

For Adam was formed first, than Eve
...Which, of course, means... What, exactly? That he'd be the first to get a midlife crisis?

I'm not a religious scholar, obviously, but what exactly does The Book(tm) think that being older makes you, except... Older and perhaps more wrinkly?

In the first chapter of Genesis, YHVH creates humans all at once. The King James version has it (Genesis 1:27) : "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

One Jewish tradition is that this first woman was Lilith, who refused to be subservient to Adam, and thus Eve—created from Adam's rib in the second chapter of Genesis—is created specifically to be his "helpmeet."

Something that you may find intriguing, Asmodean, is that Lilith is in some traditions described as the queen of demons, wife to Asmodeus.  ;)

That image missed out loads of good 'uns (still like it though), but due to that picture I have now come to the conclusion that porn does degrade women.

I really do not need to know my disbelief in God is shared by Ricky Gervais.I can think for myself. Seems to me a strange pitch to the independently-minded. Perhaps , ironically, a reflection of the contemporary bent for celebrity- worship? Placing Miley Cyrus on the same page as Einstein did make me laugh though.

This needs some more clarification. I do not see where that last conclusion came from

No, no, no... wait, not Ayn Rand, Sasha Grey.

Congratulations but that is a pretty much an off the shelf response.

Is it a pitch to the independently minded? well maybe.  I see its use more as a solace to those leaving religion in a predominately religious environment, to show they're not alone.  Not everyone aspires to being a bitter solitary curmudgeon.

There are some faces there I respect, I don't worship them.  Miley Cyrus is too easy a target, she isn't a moron as far as I know and geniuses can be pretty boring or weird anyway.

Miley  Cyrus is an easy target. Which is down to the people who presented it.
