You can always do what I do, tell them you already have one(or four) and that this one will just get ignored/given away. As for having religion forced on you it's been my experience that it takes time for people to adjust and figure out that your mind can't be changed, though four years should have been plenty of time. I'm afraid other than that I can"t help you, I've just recently had to deal with this stuff so I'm still learning myself.
