The Magic Pudding..

Much too much twaddle.

Trump denies Ukraine intelligence, Ukraine loses Kursk and a bargaining position.

What level of likelihood should I place on some weird, maybe Manchurian relationship between the Orange Asshole and Putin now?

WTF, are you deaf and blind? Does one or the other have to have the other's baby?

Something tells me that the Ukrainians are going to get the dirty end of the stick as an end result of  current negotiations.

Lemme see if I have this straight......The  USSR folded about 1998, several countries then regained their independence from the Russian grip. Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania were among those liberated countries.  It has been reported that all of those countries are more than happy to have their independence, Safe to say that none of them want to once again become part of Russia. Meanwhile Russia reconstitutes itself, in a manner of speaking, and the new Russia is doing alright, Until........

KGB dude with powerful following, decides that Ukraine and those other little nations are actually Russian property according to both God, the KGB guy, andthe Kremlin. He proceeds to try to enforce his ordained will with destructive military actions at and in Ukraine. . .....destroyed a bunch of Ukranian schools, churches, business places, apartment buildings, attempted to destroy infrastructure, utilities, and threatens to use Nukes if anyone interferes......Treacherous American president buddies up with KGB tyrant. Ukraine people hung out to dry........Do I have this somewhere near correct so far?

Meanwhile American president insists that the Panama Canal belongs to the US.  Yes we did, for the most part, build the big ditch, like 120 years ago. One of our decent presidents sold the canal to the Panamanians for one dollar.. Seems fair enough since the canal is smack in the middle of the nation of Panama.....But now we have a militant (did I say stupid) US leader who wants to emulate the KGB guys senseless greed.

I am writing a brief history of latter day International fuck ups. More later.

billy rubin

dont forget panama was a province of colombia, which didnt like america. so the americans sponsored a revolution, then got the canal in exchange from the newly created country of panama.

it isnt like we got the thing ethically in the first place.

Sad to say, the USA isn't all that much better than Russia (or anywhere else, for that matter), in a lot of ways. Before the toddler-in-chief was elected, it did represent at least a better place to live, and espoused other liberties. I've not been been getting much sleep of late, and if what I've said isn't making sense, when I visit in the morning, maybe I'll make more sense.

Completely coherent as I read it, but then I'm also probably deficient in the sleep dept. But now I've quoted it and so . . . :excuse:

Computer packed up a while back. I dug out an older one that worked more or less. Took the crashed PC to repair shop. New SSD and new Win 10 installation. Dead SSD was the boot drive. The new WIn 10 install, of course, has all the MS stuff that it tries to force me to use.....Copilot, Edge, Chrome, and god knows what else. Bullshit !  I have used Firefox happily for a long time. It is easier to use. I have gone through all sorts of stuff to get Firefox to be my default browser and remove Edge. AHA ! the APP section of the menu does not allow uninstall for Edge. Somehow managed to get Firefox working for me. Now I have to clean out all that other stuff that only intrudes and confuses this poor old senile brain.

Edge, in part, is how your computer searches for files. Now you know why the search function is so slow. So, you can't get rid of it.

my computer informed me today that windows 10 will lose support on  . . .24 october? it suggested i beat the rush and upgrade today.

no.

Yeah, they rent the shit now. Used to be you bought an OS, and used it for years. Now, they have us convinced that we're renting it, and we're paying rent. I have an old drawing program from MS called VISIO. I had a question about it, went to MS and was told, it's "retired". I don't think that any "updated" rentboy drafting software is going to do more for me than make the interface more difficult, and demand yet more money for it. Don't get me started on Cortana and CoPilot. I shut those bitches down ASAP. I have programmed everything from PCs to CRAYs, and I don't need some insolent POS telling me how to spell or compose a sentence. /rant

That seems to be the case only if you have installed Windows with English US. I have Windows 11 International English and uninstalled Edge without any problems. My browser is Vivaldi.

It's our Day today! Happy Atheist Day!

Cheers, Tank! Quelling the "bah! humbug!" impulse--I wish you, the members of this site, and all atheists a happy Atheist Day.

Well, this is just unfair, it is! The gays get a month and happy atheists get a measly little day in the middle of nowhere-early-spring?!

NO! The Asmo is Divine. And Terrible and a buncha' other titles. He hereby proclaims this right here to be an Happy Atheist Millennium.

There! It "only just" started too, so there be well over nine centuries of partying left to do. :smilenod:
