That's a relief
Some ideas are so stupid only an intellectual could believe them (Orwell).

Should we tell him about The Asmo?
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

And he is a extrovert as well as an optimist. I say as a form of scientific experiment we should keep the Asmo a secret.
It appears to me (whether rightly or wrongly) that direct arguments against Christianity and theism produce hardly any effect on the public; and freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of men's minds which follows from the advance of science - Charles Darwin

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the object of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a god, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism. - Albert Einstein

Religion is a by product of fear. For much of human history, it may have been a necessary evil, but why was it more evil than necessary? Isn't killing people in the name of God a pretty good definition of insanity. - Arther C. Clarke

Faith means not wanting to know what is true. - Friedrich Nietzsche

That sounds like a challenge.

Great to get to know a little more about you! :) I'm also a fan of guitar music and singing, but I can't do either well  :D. Science and Super Mario are both fantastic - I think we'd have the ultimate game if we combined Mario with beakers, test tubes, prehistoric creatures that slowly evolve through the game.... quick, someone call Nintendo.  ;D

Given that you quote yourself in your signature and you've labeled yourself an "intelligent atheist" with your custom title, I don't think it's just your peers who believe number one on your list.  ;)

WogglebugLovingFilms

1. My birthday is on April 16. The same as Charlie Chaplin, who already became one of my top role models before I knew this.

2. I have a passion for fantasy of all varieties, as well as a side interest in science fiction as it is a branch off of the former genre.

3. I've studied tirelessly in screenwriting for almost seven years and have finally found the right pitch for my own voice of this art.

4. I was diagnosed with borderline autism in preschool but I never even learned I had this until my late teen years. Now I've mostly grown out of having this and evolved to having a unique perspective as I can understand people on both sides of this spectrum in some ways.

5. My parents were never married, never loved each other, never really lived together, and were even too old in their own ways to raise a child but they still kept me. I cannot speak well of them for these things, but this has not prevented me from being able to love on my own.

6. I was never a Christian, but I used to be a believer for a while and was just very spirtual. I became an athiest when I was 18 and it broke both of my parents hearts but I like myself this way.

7. I work with computer animation in addition to my screenwriting and am in the process of creating a series of movies to be released in upcoming years to Film Festivals and DVDs. These are in the genres of Family, Fantasy and Sci-Fi.

8. I taught myself how to write in prose for almost ten years and a few years ago I ended up publishing a short novel I had actually never originally intended on publishing.

9. I've been misled, backstabbed, and taken advantage of for my sensitive nature and gentle heart more times in the past decade than I care to talk about. However, the pattern with all of the doers of this were they had all been devout Christians I'd had online friendships with.

10. While I am totally a staunch anti-theist athiest, I have lately come to understand about "unitarian universal" principles of how many things correalate, and the bad and good ways of karma for many purposes. This is not spirtual thinking, but just deepened understanding of the wonders of the universe so far as just living as long as I have has shown me.

Very interesting Woggle. We have a very good professional voice actor here, at least one computer animator, a few members are 'on the spectrum', people who have been through serious and painful issues with their parents/upbringing and all kinds of other things. We have members from 19 to 85 years old. It looks like you're going to fit right in.

Remember, your inability to grasp science is not a valid argument against it.

I do hope you'll fit in; it sounds like you will.  Try and enjoy yourself, too.
