Nice, huh?

Quote from: "the Examiner"Thursday a federal judge in Wisconsin ruled the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. Ruling on a lawsuit brought by the Freedom From Religion Foundation, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb wrote that the government can no more enact laws supporting a day of prayer than it can encourage citizens to fast during Ramadan, attend a synagogue or practice magic.

Meanwhile, an old, incorrect story about President Barack Obama "canceling" the National Day of Prayer went viral on the Internet. The irony is that the Obama's Justice Department was defending the National Day of Prayer against the lawsuit brought by the Freedom From Religion Foundation while rumors about President Obama "canceling" the National Day of Prayer were rampant.

Congress established the National Day of Prayer in 1952. In 1988, Congress set the first Thursday in May as the day for presidents to issue proclamations asking Americans to pray. U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb declared that the statute calling on the president to proclaim a National Day of Prayer each year is a violation of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause.

Freedom From Religion Foundation was correct to argue that the National Day of prayer violates the separation of church and state. The federal government has no business legislating a day of prayer. The National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. It is a call to religious action that has no business being associated with the federal government.

The ruling is a victory for all free thinkers, a victory for the founding fathers, a victory for America.

So is it on or is it off?   Is this just for Wisconsin or for the whole country?    National means national, right?
If we evolved from a lower life form, why are there still  creationists?
