Siegfried's horn call has been in my head all day.

No wonder he inspired Delibes when he wrote Sylvia.

I am not a great fan of Chopin's music, but love his two piano concertos. Here is his Piano Concerto No. 1 played by Hayato Sumino, with Marin Alsop conducting the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra.

A lively performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, with Hayato Sumino playing the piano and melodica. The Japan Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Kanade Yokoyama.

Pleasing first few minutes. Go to 4 min 50sec  for solo by the lovely Sierra Bogess. The orchestra is also doing well.

The intro to "Prejudice" tells it like it is.

"Sticks and stones can break your bones but words can break your heart."

Minchin is a genius.

"Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration — courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and above all, love of the truth."
