I'd probably paint my loneliness and write poetry.

Curio, your sweetheart is showing.  :)

If my hubby were gone for six weeks, I'd spend my free time reading, shopping, and hanging out with my girlie friends - three things I don't get to do as much as I'd like these days.

If you're any kind of gamer, you know what you must do.

I'm a hardcore gamer, almost to the point of being socially lacking, but with the advent of the save function I get out a lot more.   That's another thing, traveling, I've seen more of my state than most folks twice my age, because I have the this aching need to see where roads go.

But really, just doing whatever you did before you met your girl is what I'd recommend, unless you spent any significant portion of your time hitting on women.   ;)

I'm currently hooked on an MMO called Eve online. man that is a sweet game. Just got Fallout 3 for the PC too... If you haven't played it, i suggest you get a copy. It is the game for all hardcore gamers :D

I like to see where roads go too.

I like to see where roads go too.
Beware! EVE is the best game in the world. I quit because I got addicted to flying at warp speed for several hours each evening, getting way too little sleep. One day at work, my mind was occupied all day about when I could get home to play EVE. That made me decide to stop. NEVER felt like that with any other game.

Yeah, it is a very well made adult oriented game. The economy is simply stunning. I've been playing for 270 days now and it keeps getting better. I'm already hooked, and yes, i can't wait to get home this evening and plough through some more lvl 4 missions haha!

I felt like that with Star Wars Galaxies too... Until Sony Online Entertainment killed the game.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. It turns out she just told her mother about us (and the fact that we've been together for over two years, and lived together for a year and a half). Her mother was... not pleased. Even threatened to come back to the US with her!  :D Don't worry, Z, I haven't forgotten!)

In addition to that, I'll be posting my annotated bibliography (with a number of sources relevant to this board) whenever I finish writing it up. As for the suggestions about video games, yes, I am an avid gamer, and plan on doing quite a bit of gaming over the next five weeks. I just finished Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Dead Space, and am currently working on Bioshock and writing a couple LittleBigPlanet levels.

The scrapbook isn't a bad idea, though it's not really my style. We'll just have to see.  :D

Try to stay awake for a week straight. I have done it before, but it required coffee. Let me just say that I felt like crap for the next month, so watch out if you try it.

After two sleepless nights, I'm as evil as they get. On the third, I'd rather be assisted by pills to stay awake so out of personal experience, I would not recommend THAT...
