An Agnostic/Atheist club in school

I hope this is the right spot... :p
At our high school, we have 2 religious clubs: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and Defy Youth.. Both Christian.
This got me thinking on the thought: I should make a religious club in school. But an Agnostic/Atheist club. There are really a few reasons why:
1. I would LOVE to see the opposition and the arguments that would thus arise :D2
2. It'd be kind of funny.
3. It'd be be good to get students to "come out of the closet" with them being Atheist or Agnostic.
4. We need some religious diversity.

I really don't have much of a problem with telling people my religion... Well, as I explained to this kid I sit by in one of my classes, I don't have a religion, as much as I do beliefs.
So this is something I REALLY want to do. The school board can't deny it, either, UNLESS they come up with some VERY CRAFTY AND GOOD excuse... But since they got those 2 Christian clubs, they can't deny mine. :p
The only besides that is getting a teacher to sponsor it... I would figure something out. Or idk.

But I got 2 ideas for the club, what I need help on:
I would want to create either SCAA, which would be (*********** Agnostics and Atheists). The *'s were the first 2 words of my high school's name. Not saying it here (I just typed in random *'s, too.)
OR
FTS, which would be Free-Thinking Students.. Only downside, I would have to explain to SO many people what that meant..

So I am wanting your all's opinion on which one I should do, and what would be a good purpose of this club. Please, I would appreciate advice on this.
Thank you
Sorry it was so long :p

From a UK prespective, my only concern would be for you (and others who might join) in what we (from outside) see as a rather scary situation in the US because we get reports of people getting targetted for such things ... but yeah, I guess it has to start somewhere.

One thought ... there are probably othner school based atheist organisations in the US, perhaps in your area, why not contact them and see how they have dealt with forming such societies (they'll have ideas on naming too I would have thought) and you may even be able to rapidly gain some kind of affiliated status (safety in numbers 'n all that). CFI (Centre For Inquiry, I'm there too on the forum though not so much since I found this place) might be able to help, wouldn't surprise me if there was a CFI School organisation :)

Basically, in my school, a lot of of atheists and Agnostics are hated. Why? Because our high school consists of 70% Chaldean people, 25% Jewish, 5% other. I'm not sure if that would be such a great idea, but you can sure give it a shot. Heres an idea for a name the AAS(Atheist Agnostic Society).

My advice would be to avoid the A word since so many christians associate the word athesit with devil worship (sad but true).  Basically, a freethinkers group is more likely to be accepted without bringing unnecessary trouble onto you or potential members.  You should probably make sure you have a teacher willing to take up a burden like this before going much further with your plans...depending on your area it could be a potential career destroyer for the sponsering teacher.

As for having to explain what free thinkers means...they'll probably have it googled before they would have to bother you.

Thank you guys.
The Free Thinker group, we have club days, so majority of people would see it first there. But it is probably what I would do, since that is mainly what I am.
And if anyone mentions anything about Atheist's being devil worshipers, I will just tell them that they are wrong and why they are wrong.
And I am not afraid, really of what people think if I do this. It is the same people that believe in being nice to everybody and not hating that hate on people against their religion. Ironic, isn't it?

Thank you all.
P.S. I got in a "talk" with one of my friend's today who is a Christian... When I told him why I think his religion is bullshit, I saw a look on his face like he was thinking, and I was just like, "Hmmm?"
It was funny :p
Then he started talking about sins (COMPLETELY off subject.. and I know that story) and how science goes against religion, which I had to explain that to him... He has no idea what he is talking about.
